Washington, D.C., November 11, 2024 – The President of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS), H.E. Kyeremeh Oppong Daniel, together with other Ghanaian delegations successfully represented Ghana at the highly esteemed Future We Want Model United Nations (FWWMUN) forum in the United States of America. The conference, which took place from November 7th to 10th, 2024, brought together over 1,000 young leaders from around the world to discuss and debate critical global issues.
The FWWMUN, organized by the World Council for Youth and Diplomacy, in collaboration with the Italian Diplomatic Academy and the United Nations Department of Global Communication provided delegates with the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in international diplomacy and contribute to meaningful resolutions aimed at addressing global challenges.
President Kyeremeh Oppong Daniel played a key role in articulating the perspectives of Ghanaian youth, emphasizing the importance of inclusive policies and youth-driven solutions for governance, transparency, and social justice. His participation also included discussions on the urgent issue of climate change, advocating for proactive measures and sustainable policies to safeguard the future of the planet. This reinforced Ghana’s commitment to empowering young voices on the international stage.
In addition to participating in the conference, President Kyeremeh Oppong Daniel paid a courtesy visit to the Ghanaian High Commission in Washington, D.C., fostering stronger ties between NUGS Ghana and the USA chapter and the Ghanaian diplomatic mission in the United States.
