NUGS DISCUSSES STUDENT ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROJECTS WITH EXIM BANK

The National Union of Ghana students has on Friday, 20th May began preliminary advancement on a major partnership with Exim Bank on student entrepreneurship in Ghana. This partnership is intended to provide viable student entrepreneurs with technical, advisory, resourcing, and financial assistance.

Mr. Dennis Appiah Larbi – Ampofo, President of NUGS stated that “the Union believes that Exim Bank is properly positioned in the area of Entrepreneurship and is largely recognized for its impact in the entrepreneurial sector and that the success of the Union can be anchored on cooperate existence, partnership and the utilization of the numerical strength of the Union. 

“The Union’s realization of the many brilliant entrepreneurial ideas and projects that have been hit with various entrepreneurial crises at the early stages of their formation as a result of a lack of resources technical assistance, guidance, cushioning, etc, can be solved through this partnership, he added.

The Head of Corporate Affairs of Exim Bank, Mr. Richard Anane in his statements appreciated the Union for taking steps to have this partnership and his readiness to have a long-span partnership with the Union which is beyond just the implementation of this initiative.

Leveraging on the NUGS Business Entrepreneurship Cohort and Challenge Initiative, the Union will, through various competitive sense promote business essentials among the youth and correct the numerous errors of infant entrepreneurial ventures, and beyond the goal of hatching new businesses and providing sustenance to various entrepreneurship ideas, this partnership will also seek to provide the youth with massive employment opportunities that will contribute to a greater extent, mammoth economic growth among the youth in Ghana.

Present at this meeting was the President Mr. Dennis Appiah Larbi- Ampofo, the secretary for Programs and Projects, Ms. Bridget Ofori Agyemang, the Secretary for Press and Information, Bright Aboagye, and the Director in charge of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Michael Oduro together with the management of Exim Bank.
