The Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, Minister for Education, officially inaugurated the 7th Board of Trustees of the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) at a ceremony held at the GETFund Secretariat in Accra.
Among the members sworn in was H.E. Daniel Korley Botchway, President of the NUGS – National Union of Ghana Students, who joins the Board for a four-year term representing the interests of the over 12.5 million Ghanaian students both at home and abroad.
GETFund remains one of the most critical institutions supporting educational infrastructure 🏫, scholarships πŸŽ“, student loans πŸ’Έ, and learning resources πŸ“š across the country. With the Free SHS policy now set to be fully funded by GETFund, the Board’s role becomes even more vital in ensuring equity, transparency, and accountability in the use of resources.
NUGS extends its congratulations πŸŽ‰ to all members of the new Board and reaffirms its commitment to working collaboratively with GETFund to enhance educational outcomes and improve the lives of students across the nation.
