As part of the incoming programs of the NUGS Judicial Committee and the Legal Aid Committee, the Executives together with selected committee members paid a courtesy visit to the Director of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of Ghana. The meeting centered on our upcoming initiative, “Safe Campuses, Informed Students: Combating Sexual Harassment and Digital Abuse.”
During the engagement, we discussed the growing need to educate students on the legal, social and personal consequences of sexual harassment and digital abuse, particularly within educational institutions. The Director emphasized the importance of broadening the scope of the program to also address issues of physical assault, referencing the recent rise in violent incidents within Senior High Schools across the country.
We welcomed this insightful recommendation and have resolved to incorporate discussions on physical assault and student safety into the project. The Director further ass
