SOLES OF HOPE DONATES LAPTOPS, DESKTOPS, AND PRINTERS TO THE NATIONAL UNION OF GHANA STUDENTS

In a significant boost to student advocacy and administrative efficiency, Soles of Hope has generously donated a range of technology equipment to the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS). The donation, which includes laptops, desktops, and a printer, was officially handed over in a ceremony held this afternoon.

Mr. Daniel Oppong Kyeremeh, President of NUGS, expressed profound gratitude to Soles of Hope for their timely intervention. “We are here this afternoon to say a very big thank you to Soles of Hope for the crucial support they’ve extended to the National Union of Ghana Students. As the citadel for student advocacy, representing over 12.5 million Ghanaian students, we faced significant challenges due to a lack of adequate computers and other essential equipment needed for our administrative and advocacy work,” he said.

He further detailed how the new equipment would enhance the Union’s operations, stating, “With these laptops, desktops, and a printer, we can now process documents more efficiently and maintain consistent records. This support will undoubtedly help us work more effectively and fast-track our efforts to transform the educational narrative in Ghana.”

The donation includes over ten computers now in use across various workstations within the NUGS office, ensuring that administrative secretaries and other executives have the tools needed to perform their duties efficiently. This initiative is expected to significantly improve the administrative capacity of NUGS and positively impact student advocacy across the nation.

Additionally, the collaboration between NUGS and Soles of Hope aims to extend beyond immediate administrative needs. Plans are underway to support ICT education in rural areas, where many students have yet to experience practical computer learning. This effort is part of a broader initiative to enhance educational opportunities for all Ghanaian students.

The ceremony concluded with a call for other organizations to support NUGS in its mission to improve education and student welfare in Ghana. “We want to commend Soles of Hope for this generous donation and encourage other organizations to join us in this transformative journey,” Daniel urged.

Mr. Kelvin Osei Boateng, a representative of Soles of Hope, highlighted the importance of this contribution. “NUGS reached out to us, indicating their need for computers to carry out their administrative work. We are pleased to provide these laptops, desktops, and a printer to support their vital mission,” he remarked.

Soles of Hope’s contribution marks a significant milestone for NUGS, promising a brighter and more efficient future for student advocacy and administrative operations in Ghana.
